Hi! I am glad you are here. My name is Mike Tinsley and welcome to my website. I grew up drawing anything and everything, as I imagine most artists do, and would give my drawings to friends. Action figures, comics, sports were all things I would draw as a kid growing up. Now, I am an architect, licensed in California, and artist creating pieces for family homes. As well as creating homes. My genres range from landscapes, and still lifes, to classic cars and surfboards in mediums using watercolor, or ballpoint pen, markers, or digital.
As in my art, my blog will cover a wide range of topics from art, design, kids, family, Faith, coffee, and probably some random bits thrown in. I write to encourage, inspire and share that we all have something to contribute. Everybody has a voice that ought to be known, and I hope this blog will become a community where we can be just that.

Mike would always draw, paint and create while growing up. In architecture school he was introduced watercolor by one of his studio professors, Richard Ferrier. The idea of using a fluid medium in combination with architectural drafting was captivating.
Now Mike creates art that is about a sense of place, a place to belong, or inhabit, at least for a little while. We all have a longing to belong, to be known, a place called home. That's what Mike's art and architecture are about.
Mike also creates architectural renderings for architects and developers in the Bay Area.
